M S Indraa Raju - Mother and Founder of our Abheek alternative experiential Independent Learning Centre, is a catalyst for change, driven by her remarkable journey of self-discovery, education entrepreneurship, and passion for social transformation. Her personal experiences and deep-rooted belief in the power of education have led her to create a groundbreaking centre that challenges traditional norms and empowers individuals to shape their own educational paths.
Drawing from her own struggles as well her own daughter within the confines of conventional education, she embarked on a transformative quest for alternative learning methods that embrace individuality and foster holistic growth. This journey ignited her passion for reshaping the educational landscape and inspired her to establish a space that values and celebrates each learner's unique journey.
As an education entrepreneur, Indraa brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role. She has successfully launched and led several innovative educational initiatives, blending progressive pedagogies with social impact. Mrs Annapoorani Chockalingam
Active Advisor
Annapoorani Chockalingam brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the fields of Special Education and Counselling, currently serving as a Visiting Faculty at Azim Premji University.
With over 27 years in Special Education and 13 years in Counselling, Annapoorani has honed her skills through pivotal roles at various organisations. Her journey began with six years of volunteer work at Sri Ramana Maharishi Academy for the Blind. Subsequently, she dedicated 27 years to Brindavan Education Trust, where she served as a Special Educator for children aged 2 ½ to 16 years. In addition, she played a key role as Faculty for Diploma Courses in Specific Learning Difficulties and served as a consultant for resource room setup and teacher guidance in mainstream schools.
Her contributions extended to KPAMRC of Karnataka, where she worked as a Coordinator, Faculty, and Examiner for Diploma Courses in SLD. Additionally, Annapoorani served at Vishwas – Society for Mental Health as a Counsellor, supporting mental health initiatives. Simultaneously, she collaborated with Dream Path Foundation as a faculty member, guiding youth in career and life skills.
Annapoorani's extensive experience spans education, teacher training, parental guidance, mental health, and volunteerism. This establishes her as a seasoned professional committed to shaping inclusive education and nurturing young minds.
